Pullela Gopichand

Chairman

The pride of Indian badminton Pullela Gopichand who went on to win the All England Badminton Championships in 2001. His incredible service to the nation has been awarded with the Arjuna Award, Dronacharya Award and the Padma Bhushan. Currently he runs the Gopichand Badminton Academy and has trained the likes of Saina Nehwal and P.V Sindhu.

Sardar Singh

Sardar Singh became the youngest Indian field hockey captain in 2008. In a career spanning across 12 years, Sardar has represented the country in 314 games. He was also part of the victorious Indian hockey team which clinched the gold medal in the 2014 Asian Games and has also won gold at the Asian Champions Trophy and Asia Cup.

Abhinav Bindra

Regarded as one of the finest shooters the country has produced. Abhinav Bindra created history at the 2008 Beijing Olympics when he became the first Indian to win an individual gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle event and this was also India’s first gold since medal since 1980.

Yogeshwar Dutt

Yogeshwar Dutt is a former wrestler who has represented India at the Commonwealth Games, Commonwealth Championships, Asian Championships, Asian Games and the Olympics. His impressive performances were on show as he clinched gold medals at the Commonwealth Games in 2010 and 2014. Gold at the Asian Championships in 2008 and 2012. At the 2012 London Olympics he won the bronze medal.

PT Usha

Fondly known as the queen of Indian track and field, PT Usha made her mark winning gold medals at the Asian Championships and Asian Games in 100m, 200m, 400m, 400m hurdles and 4x400m relay. Her best Olympic performance came at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics where she finished 4th and has a personal best timing of 11.39 secs.

Anjali Bhagwat

Anjali Bhagwat is a former professional shooter. In 2002 she became the World Number 1 in the 10m Air Rifle category and also went on to win her first World Cup Final in Milan in 2003. Anjali has also represented India in three Olympics and was a finalist at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Leander Paes

Leander Paes is an Indian Former Professional Tennis Player. He is regarded as one of the greatest doubles tennis players ever. Leander has won a total of 18 Grand Slams in his career, 8 in Men’s Doubles and 10 in Mixed Doubles. He has won Wimbledon titles in three consecutive decades and has been awarded with the Padma Shri in 2001.
