This website (“https://indiansportshonours.com”) is owned, hosted and maintained by Cornerstone Intellectual Properties LLP (“Company/us/we/our”) and is the official website of the Indian Sports Honour Awards(“ISH”). These Terms and Conditions (the “T&C”) constitute a valid and binding agreement between Company and the user. By using this website, per se, you agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions as mentioned herein. The following terms and conditions and any amendments or modifications made thereto, govern the use of this website and any content made available from or through this website.

By accessing this website, the user warrants that the user has fully read and understood these T&C and agrees to be legally bound by these terms and acknowledges unconditional acceptance without limitation or qualification of these T&C. We may change these terms at any time without any prior notice in writing or otherwise to the user, by posting changes on the website. The user may review these terms regularly to ensure that the user is aware of any changes made by us. The continued use of our website by the user, after changes are posted means that the user agrees to be legally bound by these terms as updated and/or amended. In the case of any violation of these T&C, Privacy Policy or any additional terms posted on website, we reserve the right to seek all remedies available by law and in equity for such violations.


  1. We do not guarantee that the website, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. Access to the website is permitted on a temporary basis. We may suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any part of the website without notice. We will not be liable to the user if for any reason the website or its content is unavailable at any time and/or for any period.

We may suspend or terminate the user from the use of the website at our sole and absolute discretion without any notice and cause. Notwithstanding anything stated under this T&C, these T&C will survive indefinitely unless and until we choose to terminate them.


  1. The user must be competent and eligible to enter into legal binding agreements as determined by the provisions of Indian Contract Act, 1872.
  2. The user must be above 18 years of age and must be a citizen of India.
  3. The user should be of sound mind and should have a firm contractual capacity.

The user also agrees not to adapt, alter or create a derivative work from any our website and/ or content except for the user’s own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use of our website and/ or content requires the prior written permission of us.
  2. The user agrees to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use of our website.
  3. It is important to remember that comments submitted to a forum may be recorded and stored in multiple places, both on our website and elsewhere on the Internet, which are likely to be accessible for a long time and the user has no control over who will read them eventually. In connection with submissions by users, user further agrees that he/she/it will not submit material that is personal information of himself or any other person; copyrighted, protected by trade secret or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights, unless he/she/it is the owner of such rights or have permission from their rightful owner to post the material and to grant ISH and Company all of the license rights granted herein.

Company  and ISH do not endorse any user submission or any opinion, recommendation, or advice expressed therein, and ISH and/or Company expressly disclaims any and all liability in connection with user submissions. ISH and/or Company does not permit copyright infringing activities and infringement of intellectual property rights on its website, and ISH will remove all content and user submissions if properly notified that such content or user submission infringes on another’s intellectual property rights. ISH reserves the right to remove content and user submissions without prior notice.

The user agrees that the user is solely responsible for anything he/ she/ it may post such as any information, content, user information, personal or sensitive data  or any sort of query, response, information, etc. on the website, and that the user agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold ISH and Company, its officers, directors, employees, agents harmless from and against any claims, actions or demands, liabilities and settlements including without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, resulting from, or alleged to result from the user’s violation of these T&C or any claims based upon the user’s posts/submissions on the website.

Intellectual Property Rights:

  1. The trademarks, logos and service marks or any other right associated with intellectual property displayed on the website shall be the property of ISH or respective third parties. The user is not permitted to use the same.
  2. Unless otherwise indicated or anything contained to the contrary or any proprietary material owned by a third party and so expressly mentioned, ISH owns all Intellectual Property Rights to and into the trademarks “ISH”, and the website including, without limitation, any and all rights, title and interest in and to trade names, service marks, logos, domain name, copyright, related rights, patents, utility models, designs, know-how, trade secrets, designs, graphics and inventions, goodwill, source code, meta tags, databases, text, content, graphics, icons, and hyperlinks. The user acknowledges and agrees that he/ she/ it shall not use, reproduce or distribute any content from the website belonging to ISH.

The courts of Mumbai shall have the exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any and all legal dispute or matter arising out of user’s use and access of the website. The parties expressly agree that in case any dispute arising out services rendered, access or use of the website or content they shall make all attempts to resolve it by amicable settlement and discussion failing which, by arbitration as per the provisions of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Such Arbitration shall be by a Sole Arbitrator appointed by us. The Arbitration proceeding shall be conducted in Mumbai, in English language. The Arbitrator shall pass a reasoned award in writing, which shall be final and binding upon the parties.  

Applicable Law

These T&C are governed by the Indian laws,, without respect to its conflict of laws principles. If any provision of these T&C is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these T&C, which shall remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any of these T&C shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or any other term or condition.

Entire Agreement

These T&C shall constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all other terms and conditions and/ or agreements relating to the subject matter, and set out the complete legal relationship between Company and any other party arising from or connected with the subject matter. For the voidance of doubt, in the case of any conflict between these T&C, and any other agreement, these T&C shall apply.


If any part of these T&C is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the T&C shall continue in effect.

  • These Rules, Regulations and Guidelines are applicable to and govern the “ Indian Sports Honour Awards” organized and conducted by Cornerstone
  • By participating in the Awards, Nominees agrees to abide by and be bound by these Rules. The Rules & Regulations may be modified without any prior notification. Nominees is advised to regularly review these Rules. If there is any disagreement with any of the Rules and any amendments thereto, Nominees must not participate in the Awards or withdraw from the Awards

The objective of the Awards is to create a platform to acknowledge and award excellence to the Indian sportsperson for their exemplary performance

The sports considered for this edition include the following:

Individual sports: Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Chess, Cue Sport, Golf, Gymnastics, Judo, Motor Sports, Rowing, Sailing, Shooting, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Wushu

Team sports: Cricket, Football, Field Hockey, Kabaddi

The Award categories and sports considered may be changed / modified / split / merged / increased or cancelled by the Jury based on the number and quality of entries received in each category

In the event that no Nominee in a category is found to be worthy of inclusion by the Jury, the Award category may be cancelled by the Jury. The Jury may decide to add nominees in the category to maintain high standards of participation. The decision of the Jury in this regard will be final and non-contestable. The Awards management will not entertain any queries in this regard

Eligibility Criteria for the Awards

  • Sportsperson should be of Indian nationality and team should be Indian team
  • The individual or team should have played at least one match/ game representing India on an international platform
  • Sports event considered for the awards are those which are played between August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2017
  • Nominee can be considered for multiple categories depending on the jury’s decision
  • Jury members has the right to reclassify entries from one category to another, at its discretion. This is not contestable in any manner.
  • Employees and immediate family members of the award management, sponsors and partners of the awards are not allowed to participate in the Awards
  • The final eligibility of the Nominee will be subject to the discretion and approval of the Awards Management and Jury


  • Efforts will be made to adhere to the defined timelines. However, the defined timelines are subject to change based on circumstances.
  • Awards Management and its sub-contractors shall not be held accountable / liable for any disruptions / stoppages / interruptions or cancellation of the Awards or its ceremony or any part of its processes or public voting on account of any factors beyond its control.

Participation/Nomination in the awards

  • SJFI will share the nominees on the basis of participation in the period of eligibility. There will be no call for entries for the awards
  • Jury members can also nominate any individual or team who has showcased performed in the period of eligibility
  • Jury members have the right to add or delete any nominee during the process of the awards

Validity and Correctness of Information

  • If at any time, including after the conclusion of any of the Award ceremonies, any information provided by SJFI, is found to be incorrect in any manner, then the Nominee will be liable to be disqualified and / or return the Award and the monetary emoluments provided to the Nominee under this Award, if any. Awards Management may also take penal action against the Nominee for providing false information to participate in the Awards
  • Determination of whether information provided as fair and accurate rests with the Jury and Awards Management.

Short-listing nominees and determination of winners

  • SJFI will decide the nominees on the basis of participation in the period of eligibility
  • Nominees list will be shared for a voting round , where the SJFI members will select one nominee from each category
  • Awards Management reserves the right to make the final judgment in case of any ambiguity in Rules and Regulations / disputes over suitability
  • Top 3-5 finalists will be presented to Grand jury members who will determine winners
  • Decision of the above short-listing is final and binding for all the nominees
  • There could be one or more winners in each award category, at the discretion of the Jury
  • The determination of who should receive an award for any award category rests with the Jury


  • SJFI warrants and represents to the Awards Management that all information including any communications, software, photos, text, video, graphics, music, sounds, images and other material submitted or recorded in any manner of the Nominee or the partners of Awards Management including Awards Management for consideration for the Awards are solely owned by the Awards Management and do not infringe upon any other individual or institutional rights (including, without limitation, intellectual property rights). SJFI shall be completely responsible for handling any infringement or alleged infringement and shall indemnify the Cornerstone, and the Awards Management from any claims, costs or damages from infringement or alleged infringement of the logo or trademark or the defense of a claim or any costs payable thereof.
  • Awards Management are not in any way obligated or liable for any loss or costs that the Nominee may suffer or incur and nothing is payable to the Nominee for participating in the Awards or any event prior to or following the Awards.
  • The Awards Management reserves the right to, at its discretion, withdraw or amend or add to the T&C of the Awards at any time, with prospective or retrospective effect, and does not take responsibility for any loss or damage that any individual or entity may suffer as a result of participating or attempting to participate in the Awards, the Awards being withdrawn or its Terms amended.
  • Should a nominee wish to withdraw from the Awards, kindly inform Awards management in writing at any time up to one week prior to the final awards ceremony
  • All disputes relating to or arising out of the Awards shall be subject to the laws of India, and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction at Mumbai, India
  • The Participants indemnify Cornerstone, its employees, officers, contractors, partner or other persons used by them in relation to this Awards and hold them harmless against any loss, claim, demands, costs, damages, judgments, expenses or liability (including legal costs)  arising out of or in connection with any or all claims, that may be brought against the Awards Management by any third party in connection with the nominee in or winning the Awards, which is inconsistent with any of the warranties and representations made by the Participants, or due to breach of these Terms and shall reimburse Cornerstone for any loss, costs, expense, or damage to which said indemnity applies. Cornerstone shall give the nominee prompt written notice of any claim or actions covered by this indemnity, and the nominee shall have the right, at its own expense, to participate in any such action.
  • Decision of Awards Management on all matters is final and binding on all nominees and no correspondence will be entertained on the same.
  • In the event these Terms do not cover any question or complaint in relation to the Awards, the same will be concluded on by the Awards Management (for all other issues) or an independent body or legal team as appointed by the Awards Management and deemed necessary.
  • The decision of Cornerstone in relation to the interpretation of any of these Terms shall be final and binding on the participants.
  • If SJFI or nominees are unclear as to the Terms or any element of the Awards or have any queries/concerns pertaining to the Awards, they can write in with their questions, concerns or queries to the following address:

Cornerstone shall endeavor to the best of its ability to respond thereto.


  • The website is only an informational website () (the “Website”) for the Awards. Cornerstone or its subsidiaries or holding entities are not liable or responsible for any action or decision taken by nominee or anyone acting on nominee’s behalf or under nominee employment or under contract with nominee. Cornerstone shall not be under any obligation to nominee and nominee shall have no obligation or rights in relation to the Awards and shall have no claims whatsoever against the Cornerstone relating to the selection process or the running of the Awards
  • Cornerstone shall not be responsible for:
    1. Any delivery, failures relating to the registration or uploading videos/presentations;
    2. Any SPAM generated messages as result of Participant accessing the Website;
    3. Awards Management not receiving or rejecting any data;
    4. Any lost, late or misdirected computer transmission or network, electronic failures of any kind or any failure to receive entries owing to transmission failures or due to any technical reasons
    5. Other conditions/situations or failures beyond its control.


Awards Management has no obligation to screen the entry material in advance, and is not responsible for monitoring entries for the purpose of preventing violation of intellectual property ownership rights, or violations of any law, rule or regulation. If Awards Management is notified of submissions or materials that may not conform to the Terms, it may investigate the allegation and determine in good faith and in its sole discretion whether to eliminate such an entry from consideration. The Awards Management has no liability or responsibility to nominees or other users of the Website for performance or non-performance of such activities.
